Processing
Inference is the first and only analytics-based electronic discovery review software that does not require proprietary processing to upload or index data for the use of its analytics suite or review toolset. Completely data agnostic, Inference can accept standard EDD type or delimited load files with metadata fields and extracted text for direct ingestion.
Because of Inference’s architecture, as data is loaded into the system, it is automatically rolled into indices and is immediately available for search and review. Moreover, Inference provides upload speeds of approximately 500,000 documents per day, and supplemental productions and uploads can be added on a rolling basis without the need to re-index or interrupt system availability. As a result, Inference eliminates the need to re-process data and provides clients with a strategic advantage, and tremendous cost savings. Key benefits include:
- Identify duplicate materials to shorten review and case preparation time. Inference enables the identification of duplicates and conceptual duplicates on two levels. During the upload process, duplicates can be identified and tagged accordingly so that they can be segregated from the review. Users can also apply the Show Similar feature to search for conceptual duplicates within the system including both documents and email threads.
- Decrease processing time for faster start of review. Inference is data agnostic, therefore no proprietary processing or re-processing is required. Data can be ingested and uploaded from standard EDD load files and review sites can normally be available for within 24 hours. Inference’s capacity to handle migrated, post-production and post-processed data is unmatched in the market.
Inference offers a full range of processing services and consultation options, and supports a broad range of data formats including unstructured (HTML, word processing, rich media), semi-structured (XML) and structured (Oracle, Lotus Notes) data, and all data ingested and indexed into Inference can automatically be categorized, tagged, linked, retrieved and profiled in real time. |
