Lou Andreozzi
Chief Executive Officer
Lou Andreozzi is a veteran leader in the fields of business information, legal technology and mergers and acquisitions. He is chief executive officer of Inference Data, which provides the legal industry’s most scalable, user-intuitive and cost-effective web-based data analysis and review platform, Inference.
From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Andreozzi was president and chief executive officer of LexisNexis North American Legal Markets, a division of Reed Elsevier. While managing the $1.2 billion information and technology company, Mr. Andreozzi was the driving force behind the growth of some of the legal industry’s most prominent products and was responsible for broadening LexisNexis’ offerings from predominately print and online research to a full range of legal tools and services. During his tenure, LexisNexis acquired the #1 and #2 electronic filing companies, the leading electronic discovery company, the leading docket database, the #1 customer relationship management system for law firms and numerous market-leading practice management tools.
Mr. Andreozzi also managed the Martindale-Hubbell division of Reed Elsevier from 1996 to 2000, where he led the migration of the preeminent legal directory from a purely print-based product to the leading online resource, lawyers.com. Prior to his position at Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Andreozzi held several positions with Reed Elsevier, including general counsel of LexisNexis.
Since leaving LexisNexis, Mr. Andreozzi served as a strategic advisor for ValueAct Capital and The Carlyle Group on large media deals.
Mr. Andreozzi is a graduate of Rutgers University and received a J.D. from the Seton Hall School of Law. A sought-after speaker, Mr. Andreozzi has delivered keynote addresses at leading legal industry events. He also sits on the Seton Hall School of Law Board of Directors.
Nicholas Croce
President
Nicholas Croce, president of Inference Data, has led the creation and development of Inference, the company’s next-generation analytics software for electronic discovery. By developing a strategic partnership with Autonomy, Inference’s use of the Autonomy IDOL™ engine has made it the legal industry’s most advanced data mining and analytical software.
Prior to forming Inference, Mr. Croce served as president of Doar Litigation Consulting, where he was responsible for driving Doar’s introduction of groundbreaking technologies for courtroom presentation used by the nation’s largest law firms and Fortune 1000 corporations. Mr. Croce was also directly involved in helping set industry standards for courtroom technology within the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC). To support Doar’s national expansion, he spearheaded the acquisition of private and public funding.
Mr. Croce graduated from Hofstra University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Computer Engineering and dual minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. An expert in the use of technology in support of litigation, Mr. Croce is a frequent keynote speaker at industry events and has been recognized with awards by both local and national organizations, including Deloitte and Ernst & Young. He currently serves on several industry and not-for-profit boards, including the Engineering Industrial Advisory at Hofstra University and the Legal Aid Society’s Technology Advisory Board.
Peter S. Florian
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
As senior vice president of sales and marketing, Peter Florian drives direct sales and business development with consultants and channel partners as well as marketing and communications for Inference Data. Mr. Florian has a successful track record of driving growth at both consumer and business-to-business companies in marketing and management roles.
Prior to joining Inference, Mr. Florian was vice president of marketing and eDiscovery at CT Summation, a division of Wolters Kluwer. There, he successfully managed strategic planning, marketing, product management and strategic partnerships for Summation, the leading litigation support software, and CaseVault, an ASP hosting platform for litigation discovery review.
From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Florian was chief marketing officer for Thomson Financial, a $1.5 billion division of Thomson Corporation, where he led the global integration of the marketing organization and created programs that established Thomson Financial as a leading firm in the global financial market.
Mr. Florian also ran his own marketing agency for 10 years, with clients including Bloomberg, McGraw-Hill, Credit Suisse and theStreet.com. He started his career at Pepsi USA, where he managed the breakthrough Pepsi Challenge campaign and key soft drink brands.
Mr. Florian is a graduate of Vassar College and received an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
Brian Pendergast
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer at Inference Data, Brian Pendergast is responsible for ensuring that the company’s technology strategy is tied directly to the overall business goals and mission. These responsibilities include leading the implementation of all technology initiatives and managing organizations responsible for product architecture, software development, ASP infrastructure and quality assurance.
Brian has more than 20 years of experience in technology and consulting, the last 13 years in executive leadership positions specifically supporting advanced data engineering organizations. Prior to joining Inference, Brian was a senior partner for The Red Rock Group, a boutique consulting organization providing professional services dedicated to architecting, designing, implementing, and optimizing the information management and advanced data mining capabilities for Fortune 100, governmental and private equity funded data mining clients.
Prior to founding Red Rock, Brian was the Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer for VNU, Inc. (The Nielsen Company) from 1996 until 2002. As the senior technology executive for the business, he led global teams responsible for the integration of multi-national businesses and infrastructures as they prepared for and executed nearly thirty mergers and acquisitions growing the business from 750M ($US) to 4.2B ($US) during his tenure.
Brian began his professional career as an engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Sunnyvale, CA., where he designed and implemented integrated systems for the high performance computing group in the areas of conceptual performance modeling, software design review, and advanced Alpha systems engineering for NASA, Lawrence Livermore, Dow Jones News Retrieval, NASDAQ, Boeing and several U.S. intelligence organizations.
Brian is an active member of the Data Warehousing Institute, ESOMAR and AIIM — The Enterprise Content Management Association. Brian is a graduate of the University of Arizona, studied advanced engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Executive Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. |
