Gibbons Selects Inference Data for
Electronic Discovery Analytics & Review
Firm extends leadership in deploying technology to more effectively manage electronic
discovery process and costs
New York, NY (June 4, 2007) – Inference Data today announced that Gibbons P.C., a
leading law firm in the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia metropolitan regions,
has selected Inference as its electronic discovery analytics and review provider. The
firm, which has extensive litigation, corporate, product, employment, and criminal
defense practices, will look to Inference’s web-based platform to analyze electronic
documents and communications in large-scale litigation and to streamline the review
process through categorization and prioritization of electronically stored information
(ESI).
“Gibbons is actively taking a leadership role in applying tools and methodologies that will
accelerate the review process and help our attorneys identify key documents quickly,”
said Mark Sidoti, Esq., Chair of the Gibbons E-Discovery Task Force. “We evaluated
many of the analytical tools on the market and selected Inference as the best technology
to address the needs of the firm and our clients.”
The massive proliferation of electronically generated documents and communications,
coupled with U.S. Federal Rules of Civil Procedure mandates for electronic discovery
are driving rapid change and the deployment of new technologies in the legal profession.
New meet-and-confer rules and production deadlines necessitate knowledge of what an
organization’s data contains and the ability to find relevant documents quickly. Gibbons
is meeting the challenges of the new mandates and providing an advantage for its
clients by using Inference to add speed and precision to the review process. Using
Inference, Gibbons attorneys will be able to search through an unlimited amount of client
data using keywords and concepts and then group and prioritize the data for review.
“Gibbons established its E-Discovery Task Force to help clients navigate the everchanging
world of electronic data,” said Patrick C. Dunican, Jr., Managing Director of
Gibbons. “The selection of Inference Data to assist in this is the next step in providing
the best E-Discovery counseling and assistance to our clients.”
According to Inference CEO Lou Andreozzi, ”We are very proud to have been selected
by a recognized leader in litigation and electronic discovery practices. Inference will
deliver a substantial benefit to Gibbons and its clients.”
